Issue:
Is it possible to automatically backup Fusion Cloud Data to a local storage / computer?
Solution:
Native Fusion data
Fusion is designed as a Cloud-based software to be primarily worked in online, it is not possible to automatically backup native Fusion designs*.
- Backup data manually by exporting the designs individually: How to save a local archive (backup) file in Fusion
- Backup data manually through the local cache: Is it possible to bulk export or backup Fusion data without exporting individually
- Note: The native Fusion designs can be recognized as follows
- When browsing the Fusion Team Hub projects on the web, no size is displayed for the native Fusion designs.
- Within Fusion Drive (a representation of the Fusion Team Hub in Windows Explorer), they have *.FusionDesign or *.FusionDrawing extensions.
Non-native Fusion data stored in a Fusion Team Hub
To synchronize the nonnative Fusion data stored in a Fusion Team Hub or any other Autodesk Cloud Storage, consider one of the suggestions:
- Use Vault Professional and Autodesk Desktop Connector to automatically synchronize the nonnative Fusion files according to the procedure described in the article Project Sync in Vault.
- Use Autodesk Desktop Connector to manually copy (one project at a time) the files from the Fusion Drive.
- Manually download / export the files (one project at a time) from the web interface of a Fusion Team Hub.
