Issue:
How to group components under a single component to clean up the browser tree in Autodesk Fusion.
Solution:
Perform the following to group components in the browser tree:
- From the Assembly menu, click New Component.
- Click OK in the dialogue to create the new empty component.
- Highlight all of the components in the browser tree that need to be condensed/combined.
- Drag the highlighted components on top of the new component that was just created.
- Now the highlighted components all live within one sub assembly that can be collapsed to clean up the browser tree.
Note: Ensure that none of the referenced features for the components being moved are positioned beyond the history marker if the marker is moved back in the timeline.
