How to clean uninstall and reinstall Autodesk Desktop App

Solution:

To perform a clean uninstall of the Autodesk Desktop App follow the steps below:

1. Open Task manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
2. Open the Services tab and stop AdAppMgrSvc.
3. Open the Details tab and close the following processes: 
   • AdAppMgrSvc.exe 
   • AdAppMgrUpdater.exe
4. Open "Control Panel" and uninstall Autodesk Desktop App.
   • Right-click on the Autodesk Desktop App and select "uninstall".
5. Go to C:\Programdata\Autodesk and delete Autodesk Application Manager Service.ini
6. Go to C:\Programdata and delete AdApplicationManager-installer.init.lock
7. Go to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Desktop App\ and delete AutodeskDesktopApp.ini.
8. Go to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Web Services\ and delete LoginState.xml.
9. Search the system registry for the following keys and delete them, if exist:
   • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Autodesk\Autodesk Application Manager
   • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Autodesk Desktop App
   • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\AdAppMgrSvc.exe
   • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\AutodeskDesktopApp.exe
