"Failed to verify SSL certificate" when installation or updating Fusion on macOS

Issue:

When installing or updating Fusion on macOS the following message shows up and the installation doesn't go through.

The following installation pre-checks failed to pass. In order to ensure Fusion installs correctly, it is recommended to address these issue before proceeding.

Note: When checking the webservices log, the following error may appear "adsk.dls.streamer.exceptions.SSLNetworkFailure: [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed: unable to get local issuer certificate (_ssl.c:1000)"
