View Cube stops rotating and orbiting after opening the file in Fusion

Issue:

Users reported that when attempting to use the view cube in Fusion, it does not respond or function correctly and the orientation cannot be changed. it may exhibit the following behavior:
  • Setting the current view does not work.
  • Reset home, top, or front does nothing.
  • The view cube does not respond.
  • The view cube is or appears to be dimmed.
  • Fusion canvas freeze while using view cube.

Solution:

  • Restart Fusion.

    Close and restart the program. 

  • Reset to default layout.

    Reset Fusion layout preferences.

  • Reset Windows display scaling.
    If using Windows OS, reset the display scaling to 100% with the following steps: 

  1. Go to Control Panel.
  2. View All Control Panel Items. 
  3. Click Display.
  4. Change the setting to 100%.
  5. Select Set custom text size (DPI).
  6. Make sure that the Custom DPI setting is set to 100% as well. 
  • Turn off High-DPI application scaling.

Turn off High-DPI application scaling from Fusion preferences:

  1. Click profile icon and select preferences.
  2. Navigate to Display under Graphics tab.
  3. Uncheck/Disable High-DPI Application scaling.
  4. Click Apply and Restart Fusion.
  • Update 3D mouse drivers.

If using a 3D mouse or tablet, such as 3Dconnexion or Wacom, remove or update old drivers.
  • Clear Fusion cache.

  • Update graphics drivers.

Check computer graphics drivers for recent updates. 

Note: Windows does not always find the most recent update. Check the driver websites manually to confirm updates.
