What is the LICPATH.LIC file location for Autodesk Client Programs?

Solution:

For Windows, LICPATH.LIC file can be found in the following location.

• 2016 and earlier versions: Under the product installation path. By default, it's under folder: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 201x
• 2017 : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\Product_Key_2017.0.0.F\licpath.lic 
• 2018 : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\Product_Key_2018.0.0.F\licpath.lic 
• 2019 : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\Product_Key_2019.0.0.F\licpath.lic 
• 2020 : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AdskLicensingService\Product_Key_2020.0.0.F\licpath.lic 
• 2021 : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AdskLicensingService\Product_Key_2021.0.0.F\licpath.lic 
• 2022 : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AdskLicensingService\Product_Key_2022.0.0.F\licpath.lic 
• 2023 : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AdskLicensingService\Product_Key_2023.0.0.F\licpath.lic 
• 2024 : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AdskLicensingService\Product_Key_2024.0.0.F\licpath.lic 

On a Mac, the LICPATH.LIC file is located here: /Library/Application Support/Autodesk/CLM/LGS/Product-Key_201x.0.0.F 

• For example for AutoCAD for Mac 2019 the path would be /Library/Application Support/Autodesk/CLM/LGS/7771K1_2019.0.0.F\LICPATH.lic.

Note: If you have another Autodesk software installed on your system that is pointing to the same license server as your Autodesk 2017 product, then LICPATH.lic file may not be created as the license server information would be retrieved from the system registry [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FLEXlm License Manager >  ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE ] (Windows only) or $HOME/.flexlmrc (macOS and Linux).
