Import a new version of an existing design

Learn how to import a design as a new version of an existing design in Fusion.

Upload a design as a new version of an existing design

  1. In the Data Panel, locate the design you want to import a new version for.

  2. Right-click the design, then click Import New Version.

    The Upload dialog displays.

  3. Select a file to import as a new version.

  4. Click Upload.

    The Job Status dialog displays.

  5. Click Close.

The selected file is translated to the F3D file format and then saved as a new version of the design that you specified. The updated design displays in the Data Panel. Once the new version is imported, you can open it from the Job Status dialog, Notification Center, or Data Panel.

Import new change to existing design

Learn how to import a design as a new change to an existing design in Fusion.

  1. In the Data Panel, locate the design you want to import a new change for.

  2. Right-click the design, and select Import New Change from the list.

    The Upload dialog displays.

  3. Select a file to import as a new changed.

  4. Click Upload.

    The Job Status dialog displays.

  5. Click Close.

The selected file is translated to the F3D file format and then saved as a new change to the design that you specified. The updated design displays in the Data Panel. Once the change is imported, you can open it from the Job Status dialog, Notification Center, or Data Panel.
