Upload designs

Learn how to upload designs to a project in Fusion.

  1. In the Application bar, click File File icon > Upload.

    The Upload dialog displays.

  2. In the Upload dialog, do one of the following:

    • Drag the files you want to upload into the Drag and Drop Here area.

    • Click Select Files and navigate to the files you want to upload.

      Select files to upload in any of the following file formats:

    • All (*.*)

    • Alias files (*.wire)

    • AutoCAD DWG files (*.dwg)

    • EAGLE files (*.sch, *.brd, *.lbr)

    • Fusion files (*.f3d, *.f3z, *.fsch, *.fbrd, *.flbr, *.f2t)

    • Inventor files (*.iam, *.ipt)

    • Catia V5 files (*.CATProduct, *.CATPart)

    • DXF files (*.dxf)

    • FBX files (*.fbx)

    • IGES files (*.iges, *.ige, *.igs)

    • JT files (*.jt)

    • NX files (*.prt)

    • OBJ files (*.obj)

    • Parasolid Binary files (*.x_b)

    • Parasolid Text files (*.x_t)

    • Pro/ENGINEER and Creo Parametric files (*.asm, *.prt)

    • Pro/ENGINEER Granite files (*.g)

    • Pro/ENGINEER Neutral files (*.neu)

    • Rhino files (*.3dm)

    • SAT/SMT files (*.sab, *.sat, *.smb, *.smt)

    • SolidWorks files (*.prt, *.asm, *.sldprt, *.sldasm)

    • STEP files (*.ste, *.step, *.stp)

    • STL files (*.stl)

    • SketchUp files (*.skp)

    • 123D files (*.123dx)

      The file names, types, and sizes are listed in the dialog.

  3. Optional: Click Change Location to specify a different location to upload the selected files.

  4. Click Upload.

    The Job Status dialog displays.

  5. Click Close.

The uploaded design displays in the location that you specified. Once a design is uploaded, you can open it from the Job Status dialog, Notification Center, or Data Panel.
