Create geometry in a drawing sketch
Learn how to create geometry in a drawing sketch.
In the Drawing workspace, click Create > Create Sketch to enter the Sketch contextual environment.
Create a Line
On the toolbar, select Create > Line
.
Click to specify the first point.
Click to specify another point.
- Click to specify a third point, which creates a second line connected to the first, or
- Press
Enter
to complete the first line and start a second separate line.
Press
Esc
to exit the tool.
Note: If you press
Enter
, but you want to connect your next line to the end of the one you just completed, press Enter
again, and the next line will start at the last end point you specify.Create a 2-Point Rectangle
- On the toolbar, select Create > 2-Point Rectangle
.
- Click to specify the first corner.
- Click to specify the opposite corner.
- Press
Esc
to exit the tool.
Create a Center Radius Circle
- On the toolbar, select Create > Center Radius Circle
.
- Click to specify the center point.
- Click to specify the radius.
- Press
Esc
to exit the tool.
Create a 3-Point Arc
On the toolbar, select Create > 3-Point Arc
.
Click to specify the start point.
Click to specify the end point.
Click to specify the tangent direction.
- Click anywhere to specify the start point for a second separate arc, or
- Press
Enter
to start a second arc from the endpoint of the first arc.
Press
Esc
to exit the tool.
Create a Leader
- On the toolbar, select Create > Leader
.
- Click to specify the start point.
- Click to specify the end point.
