Create a sketch symbol
Create a sketch symbol in the Drawing workspace in Fusion.
Select Symbols > Sketch Symbols > Create Sketch Symbol
.
You will enter the Sketch Symbol contextual environment and the Sketch Symbol dialog displays.
In the Sketch dialog, adjust the properties and symbol settings.
On the toolbar:
- Click any tool in the Create panel to create geometry
- Click any tool in the Constraints panel to constrain geometry
- Click any tool in the Modify panel to modify geometry
- Click the Measure tool to measure geometry
- Click the Insert tool to insert image
In the Sketch Symbol dialog, or on the toolbar, click Finish Sketch Symbol.
You exit the Sketch Symbol contextual environment and the symbol displays in the Manage Sketch Symbols dialog.
In the Manage Sketch Symbols dialog, click Done.
Select the symbol and click to place it on the sheet.
In the Sketch Symbols dialog, click Close.
Tips
- There is an additional way how to enter the Sketch Symbol contextual environment and create a sketch symbol: Symbols > Sketch Symbols > Insert Sketch Symbol > Manage Symbols > Add
.
- There are two ways how to enter the Sketch Symbol contextual environment and create a sketch symbol while creating a Template:
- Symbols > Sketch Symbols > Create Sketch Symbol
.
- Symbols > Sketch Symbols > Manage Sketch Symbols > Add
.
- Symbols > Sketch Symbols > Create Sketch Symbol
