Search for publicly available components

Use the Electronics Library Manager to search through hundreds of publicly available libraries to find the components you need for your designs.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. In the Library Manager, click the Public Libraries tab.

  2. In the search box at the top left, type the name of the component you want to use.

    You can search by:

    • Library name: The name of the component library.
    • Component name: The specific component you need.
    • Part name: The full component name including variant and attribute set.
  3. Review the search results to find libraries that match your search text.

  4. To preview components, select a library and use the arrow buttons in the right panel.

    If the library has not been downloaded yet, click Download Download library icon to see the preview.

  5. Click the Activate toggle to add the library and its components to your Place Panel.

Next steps

  • Use components in designs: Once activated, the components appear in your Place Panel for use in your designs.
  • Create custom versions: To make custom changes to a public component, fork the library to create a custom copy in your current hub.
