Add a hole to the 3D PCB
Create non-plated through holes (NPTH) on the 3D PCB for screws or similar hardware.
In the Electronics workspace, on the 3D PCB document toolbar, click Create > PCBHole
, to open the PCBHole panel.
In the PCBHole panel, select how you'd like to place the hole:
- At Point: Places the hole where you specify, on the top or bottom face of the board.
- From Sketch: Places the hole where you specify on the sketch, if you have created a sketch.
In the canvas, click where you want to place the hole, then use the center point of the hole to move it to the desired location.
In the PCBHole panel, set the Diameter to the exact size.
When using At Point, define the distance from the hole to existing geometries:
In the PCBHole panel, click Select next to the top Reference, then in the canvas, select the required geometry around the hole.
Repeat with the second Reference, selecting geometry in a different direction.
Note: You can make precise adjustments to the distance in the PCBHole panel.
