Edit board outline in 3D PCB

The Board Outline Sketch is used to define the exterior dimensions of the PCB. This layer syncs with the Board Outline Layer in 2D PCB.

1. In the Electronics workspace, in an open 3D PCB document, either:

   • In the 3D PCB workspace, click Create > Edit Board Outline.
   • On the timeline, below the canvas, locate and click the Outline sketch to activate it.
   • In the Browser, expand the Sketches folder to locate the Outline sketch.

2. If editing the sketch for the first time, select the initial plane or face to begin the sketch on.

   Valid selections are:

   • Origin planes

   • Work planes

   • Planar faces on geometry

3. Draw sketch geometry to create a closed profile.

4. Click Finish Sketch.

Use the Project tool to reference geometry from an Assembly Context.
