Flipping objects in a PCB layout
Flip flips objects in the PCB layout such as footprints to the reverse side of the board.

When Flip is clicked, the Flip dialog opens, and provides some useful options:
Routes Mode | Description |
---|---|
Reroute | Connected wires are rerouted |
Disconnect | Connected wires are disconnected and remain in place |
Unroute | Connected wires are removed |
When using these options, set them before clicking the object to flip.
Flip Texts
Text on the bottom side of a pc board is mirrored automatically so that it is readable when you look at the bottom side of the board.
Flipped text in a schematic will be printed on the other side of its origin point, but it will remain normally readable.
Note: Any objects on inner layers (2...15) such as Holes or Vias don't change their layer when they are flipped.
