How to edit general rules

1. On the Rules toolbar, click Rules > Design Rules.
2. In the Design Rules dialog, click General Rules. The general rules dialog has three panels:
   • The left panel shows all available rules.
   • The right panel shows information for the selected rule and parameters.
3. Select a rule category from the list.
4. Enter Minimum and Preffered values in the Parameters panel.
5. Check Enabled to activate the rule.

Note:

• Parameters must have preferred values larger than minimum values.
• Default rule scopes cannot be changed in general rules. For custom scopes, use Custom Rules instead.
