Manual routing in electronics design

Manual routing is more time-consuming than autorouting, but it allows the designer to have complete control over the routing of the board. It is often preferred when routing critical signals before autorouting the remaining signals. Manual routing is also useful for routing traces in crowded areas of the board where the autorouter may have difficulty.

Manual routing tools include:

  • Route Manual
  • Route Differential Pair
  • Route Multiple
