Tutorial: Mechanical to Electronics Workflows
Many products today have circuit boards in them and mechanical design teams and electronics design teams must work together. One of the areas of collaboration is in the size and shape of the PCB board itself. In this tutorial, you start with a mechanical design representing the enclosure for a PCB, define the size of the PCB, and push the PCB to the electronics design. Once done with the board design, you then integrate the PCB board into a multiple component mechanical design.
In this tutorial, you do the following:
- Define the size of the PCB in the Design workspace.
- Design the PCB in the Electronics Design workspace.
- Create a multi-component design of the PCB, and the enclosure, in the Design workspace.
When done with this tutorial, you have a PCB board integrated it to a mechanical design.
