Pull vertices to a target body

Learn how to use the Pull tool in the Form contextual environment to manage the location of control vertices relative to a target body in Fusion.

  1. In the Form contextual environment, click Modify > Pull.

    The Pull dialog displays.

  2. In the canvas, select T-Spline Vertices to pull towards a target.

  3. In the dialog, select a Target Select option to specify how target bodies are determined:

    • Auto: Vertices are moved to the nearest target body.
    • Select Targets: Enables the selection of target bodies.
  4. In the canvas, select geometry to use as Targets.

The vertices snap to the target geometry.

  5. In the dialog, select a Pull Type:

    • Control Points: Control vertices are moved to the target.
    • Surface Points: Surface points are moved to the target.

The pulled T-Spline body displays in the canvas.

Tips

  • For best results, make sure your T-Spline vertices are close to the target body so that the vertices can snap to the surface without any interference.
  • Set Display Mode to Box to see the control points.
  • Set the Display Mode to Smooth to see surface points.
