Convert reference
Convert creates a new body from selected objects. The type of entities available for selection is set with the selection filter. The type of bodies created depends on the entities selected.

Convert Type
T-Splines to BRep
Creates a solid body or surface bodies from a T-Spline body. T-Spline edges cannot intersect in order to convert. Set Display Mode to box or control frame to check edges.
BRep Face to T-Splines
T-Spline faces are fit to the selected face. Once converted, you can perform Edit Form manipulations on those faces. The modified faces are automatically combined with the BRep when you complete the tool. Edit Form operation in the timeline to make changes to the faces.
Quad Mesh to T-Splines
Polygonal meshed composed primarily of four sided faces can be converted directly to T-Spline bodies. Mesh bodies composed of mostly triangles will not convert successfully. Instead, create a T-Spline body then use the Pull tool or object snaps to snap the T-Spline to the mesh.
Convert solid or surface faces to a T-Spline body
Entity
Enables the selection of BRep (solid or surface) faces for conversion.
Selection Filter
Set to BRep Face for BRep to T-Spline conversion.
Length Spacing
Controls how the number of faces is determined along the length of the face.
- Uniform Spaces faces evenly along the face.
- Curvature Faces are distributed based on the curvature of the face. Higher curvature areas receive more faces.
Deviation
Available for Curvature type. Determines the number of faces required to keep the T-Spline surface within the specified deviation.
Faces
Available for Uniform type. The specified number of faces are distributed evenly along the face.
Width Spacing
Controls how the faces are distributed around the profiles of the face.

Available for Curvature type. Determines the number of faces required to keep the T-Spline surface within the specified deviation.

Convert a T-Spline body to a solid or surface body
Entity
Enables the selection of T-Spline bodies for conversion.
Keep Edges
Maintains the selected edges in the converted BRep body.
Selection Filter
Set to T-Spline Body to convert a T-Spline body to a solid or surface body.
Flip Normal
Changes the normal direction of the selected bodies.
Operation
Specifies the effect the operation has on the design.
- New Body The operation creates a new body.
- New Component The operation creates a child component in the active component.
Convert a quad mesh body to a T-Spline body
Entity
Enables the selection of mesh bodies for conversion. Mesh bodies should contain more quad faces then triangles for best results.
Selection Filter
Set to Mesh Body to convert a Mesh body to a T-Spline body.
Operation
Specifies the effect the operation has on the design.

- New Component The operation creates a child component in the active component.
