Activity 5: Create an exploded view

In this activity, you:

• Create an Exploded View.

Prerequisites

• Activity 4 is complete.

Steps

1. Create an Exploded View.

   Drawings can also contain the Exploded Views created in the Animation workspace.

   1. From the Create toolbar, select Base View.

      

      The Base View command is located under the Create drop-down list.

      The Drawing View dialog opens.

   2. In the Drawing View dialog:

      • set the Representation to Exploded View.
      • set the Style to Shaded.
      • set the Scale to 1:3.

   3. Click on the top right quadrant of the sheet to place the view.

   4. Click OK to generate the exploded view.

      

      The Exploded View added to the drawing.
