Design > Form > Modify > Subdivide subdivide icon

T-Spline Face

Enables the selection of the face to subdivide.

Insert Mode

  • Simple: Creates the minimum number of control points to subdivide the face. The shape of the T-spline surface may change.
  • Exact: Creates additional control points to maintain the shape of the T-Spline surface.

Object Snap

Moves the new vertices to the closest point on solid, surface, or mesh bodies in the canvas.

Offset

Offsets new vertices a a specified distance from the closest point on solid, surface, or mesh bodies in the canvas when Object Snap is enabled.

Width Faces

For quadrilateral faces, specify the number of faces to divide into along the face width.

Length Faces

For quadrilateral faces, specify the number of faces to divide into along the face length.

Faces (Non-quadrilateral faces)

For non-quadrilateral faces, specify the number of faces to divide into along each side of the face.

Tips

  • Use Subdivide as a simple way to add more detail to your T-Spline model.
  • To add or remove faces in your selection set, press Control (Windows) or Command (Macintosh) and click the faces to add or remove.
  • If you select only quadrilateral faces, you can specify the number of faces along both the width and length. Otherwise, you can specify an equal number of faces to divide into along each edge.
