Tutorial: Animating a design
Use animation methods, such as exploded views, trail lines, and annotations, to communicate the assembly design to collaborators, stakeholders and customers. You can share animations in a video file or view them in a web browser using the Fusion web client.
In this tutorial, you:
- Create an animation.
- Explode the assembly.
- Edit an animation.
- Add trail lines.
- Add annotations.
- Publish and share animations.

Prerequisites
Open the Data Panel if necessary
and click New Project and enter the project Animation Tutorial to create a project folder. If you do not want to create a new project, create a folder for this tutorial.Open the Data Panel if necessary
and click Basic Training>10_Animations, to open the 10_Animation_Introduction part.Click File > Save as and save the design with the name Utility Knife Animation in the Animation Tutorial project or folder you just created.
In the Data Panel, navigate to the location where you saved the Utility Knife Animation design.
Change the Workspace from Design to Animation.
