Scale components, bodies, or sketches
Learn how to use the Scale tool to enlarge or reduce the size of selected bodies based on a specified scale factor.
- In the Design workspace, Solid tab, select Modify > Scale
.
- Select the body or bodies to scale, and pick a fixed anchor point for the scaling.
- In the dialog, select a Scale Type from the dialog and then specify associated settings:
- Uniform: Scales the selected bodies uniformly on all axes. For example, enter -0.5 to halve the size or 2 to double it.
- Scale Factor: Specify the proportional value to scale the bodies.
- Non Uniform: Scale along the X, Y, and Z axes separately.
- X Distance: Specifies the value to scale in the X direction.
- Y Distance: Specifies the value to scale in the Y direction.
- Z Distance: Specifies the value to scale in the Z direction.
- Uniform: Scales the selected bodies uniformly on all axes. For example, enter -0.5 to halve the size or 2 to double it.
- Click OK.
The scaled bodies display in the canvas.
