Tutorial: High-speed 3D machining

This tutorial lets you continue to practice the skills you learnt in previous tutorials.

In this tutorial you will learn how to machine a part on a high-speed machine tool using the following methods:

• Roughing with adaptive clearing
• Rest roughing with pocket
• Contour machining
• Scallop machining
• Scallop
• Horizontal
• Pencil milling
• Collapsed pencil
• Post-processing

Prerequisites

• You have completed Tutorial: 3+2 machining with adaptive and pocket clearing.
• Tutorial4 is open in the Manufacture workspace.
  1. If necessary, on the Application toolbar, click Show Data Panel .
  2. In the Data Panel, under Samples, double-click CAM Samples > Tutorials > Tutorial4.
  3. Close the Data Panel.
  4. On the Design workspace toolbar, from the Workspace menu, select Manufacture.
