Create a storyboard

The storyboard is the foundation of your animations. There are a couple ways to create the storyboards.

  • Clean (from Scratch)
  • Continue from Previous Storyboard

Transform components

Use Transform Components to move parts into exploded positions to generate animations of the overall assembly being put together.

When exploding components to build animations there are a couple ways to do this.

  • Manual Explode
  • Auto Explode
    • One Level
    • All Levels

Animation > Animation > Show and hide components

Show and hide components

Use the Show/Hide tool to hide components for a clearer view of others behind it. Use it at the beginning of a storyboard to hide components that don't need to be seen at the time. The Show/Hide tool can also redisplay components that were hidden at the beginning of the timeline.

Create callouts

Annotations are key for defining some assembly instructions within the storyboard. Callouts can be seen in the animation within the Fusion team.

Record motion

By default, view movement is automatically captured and added to the storyboard. To pause recording, click View.
