Animation workspace tool names and descriptions

Here are all toolbar tools and their descriptions for this workspace.

Animation > Animation > Storyboard

New Storyboard icon New Storyboard

Creates an additional Storyboard tab, which creates a new timeline.

Animation > Animation > Transform

Transform Components icon Transform Components

Selects the components to move then specify the distance and/or angle to move them in space.

Restore Home icon Restore Home

Returns the component to its original home location as defined in the Design workspace.

Auto Explode: One Level icon Auto Explode: One Level

Explodes the first-level children components of the assembly.

Auto Explode: All Levels icon Auto Explode: All Levels

Explodes all levels of the assembly, down to the lowest leaf parts for a complete exploded view.

Manual Explode icon Manual Explode

Selects components manually and defines the axis they should explode along.

Show/Hide icon Show/Hide

Turns component visibility on or off in the scene instantly or fades over a duration of time.

Appearance icon Appearance

Overrides colors assigned by the physical material, but it doesn’t affect engineering properties. Affects body, component, and face color.

Animation > Animation > Annotation

Create Callout icon Create Callout

Adds a callout to a component. The callout is represented by a push pin.

Animation > Animation > View

View icon View

Turns animation recording on or off. Turning the recording off allows for unrecorded scene navigation.

Animation > Animation > Publish

Publish video icon Publish Video

Saves the animation to a video file.
