Heidenhain DCOM

Connect your Heidenhain machine with a DCOM connection type to its Machine Profile in Fusion Machine Connect.

Record the machine's IP address

1. On the shop floor, go to the Heidenhain machine controller.

   

2. On the controller, press the keyboard MOD button.

   

   Note: For controllers except Heidenhain TNC640 controller, if you are prompted to enter a code, type NET123.

3. On the controller screen, click + System settings to expand the list.

   

4. In the eth0 section, locate the inet address on the screen and write it down so you can reference when you set up the connection in Fusion Machine Connect later.

   

You recorded the IP Address required to set up the connection for your Heidenhain machine in Fusion Machine Connect.

Set up a Heidenhain data collection connection

1. In Fusion Machine Connect in the Fusion web client, navigate to the machines page.

2. Click the profile for the Heidenhain machine you want to connect.

3. On the machine profile page, click the Connection details tab.

4. In the Data collection section, click Set up connection.

5. Choose a Gateway from the list to connect to, then click Next.

6. For Machine Controller, select Heidenhain.

7. For Connection type, select Heidenhain DCOM.

8. Choose the CNC type that corresponds to your machine:

   • AtekM
   • CncPilot6xx
   • GrindPlus640Nck
   • GrindPlusNck
   • ITnc
   • ManualPlus
   • MillPlus
   • MillPlusIt
   • MillPlusItNck
   • Tnc128
   • Tnc320
   • Tnc6xx

9. Specify the machine connection details:

   • Protocol: Select the protocol type that matches your machine.
     • RPC
     • RPC Secure
     • TCP
     • TCP Secure
   • Address: enter the inet address you recorded from the machine's controller settings earlier.
   • Port: Enter 19003.

10. Click Next.

11. Review the connection settings and click Finish.

The connection details display in the machine profile page.
