Mazak MTConnect

Connect your Mazak machine with a MTConnect connection type to its Machine Profile in Fusion Machine Connect.

Record MTConnect Agent connection details from the host device

1. On the device that is running the MTConnect Agent, navigate to the network settings and locate the IP Address or Hostname. Note: Some MTConnect agents may have a configuration file where the IP address is explicitly defined.

2. Write down or record the address to reference later when you setup the connection for this machine's profile in Fusion Machine Connect.

3. In the MTConnect implementation installer, locate the Port number for the MTConnect Agent.

   Note: The default port for MTConnect Agents is 7878.

4. Write down or record the port number for reference later.

You recorded the MTConnect details required to set up a connection for this machine.

Set up a data collection connection for Mazak with MTConnect

Before you can connect your machine, you need to record the IP Address in the machine's controller settings and the Port number of the MTConnect agent or adapter for the specific machine you want to connect on the shop floor.

Once you record these values, you can connect the machine profile in Fusion Machine Connect in the Fusion web client:

1. In Fusion Machine Connect in the Fusion web client, navigate to the machines page.
2. Click the profile for the Mazak machine with MTConnect that you want to connect.
3. On the machine profile page, click the Connection details tab.
4. In the Data collection section, click Set up connection.
5. Choose a Gateway from the list to connect to, then click Next.
6. Expand the list of Machine Controller types and select Mazak.
7. Expand the Connection types and select MTConnect.
8. If prompted, select Standard as the Preset type.
9. For the Address, enter the IP Address that you recorded from the machine's controller settings earlier.
10. For Port, enter the port number for your machine's MTConnect agent or adapter.
11. Click Next.
12. Review the connection settings and click Finish.

The connection details display in the machine profile page.
