Create and install a Gateway

Create a Gateway and install Fusion Machine Connect Gateway on your shop floor computer for Fusion Machine Connect.

1. In Fusion Machine Connect in the Fusion web client, navigate to the Machines page.

2. Click Connections.

   The Connections page displays.

3. Click Create Gateway.

   The Set up a Gateway page displays.

4. Enter a name and description for the new gateway:

   • Name (required): Enter a unique name for the gateway.
   • Description: Enter a description to help identify the specific gateway.

5. Click Next.

   Step 2 of the Set up a Gateway page displays.

6. Click Download software to save the on-premises software for your shop floor computer. Note: If you download the software to a computer that is not the Gateway computer on the shop floor, save the installer file to a USB drive and transfer it to the Gateway computer.

7. On your shop floor computer, install the Gateway software.

8. Once the software is installed, click Launch to open the Fusion Machine Connect Gateway.

9. In the Fusion web client, return to the Set up a Gateway page.

10. Click Next.

    Step 3 of the Set up a Gateway page displays.

11. On the Set up a Gateway web page, click Copy Gateway Settings.

    The Gateway Settings are copied to the clipboard.

12. On the shop floor computer, in the Gateway dialog, paste the Gateway settings into the text field.

13. In the Fusion web client, on the Set up a Gateway web page, click Copy Registration Key.

    The Registration Key is copied to the clipboard.

14. On the shop floor computer, in the Gateway dialog, paste the registration key into the text field.

15. Click Connect.

16. Once the connection is established, close Gateway on the shop floor computer.

17. In the Fusion web client, on the Set up a Gateway web page, click Next.

    Step 4 of the Set up a Gateway page and the gateway's connection status displays.

18. Review the gateway details, then click Finish.

The Setup was successful page displays.

Tips

• On the shop floor computer, open the Set up a Gateway page in the Fusion web client so you can easily copy and paste the settings into the Gateway dialog.
