Create a machine profile

Create a machine profile to represent a physical CNC machine on the shop floor in Fusion Machine Connect in the Fusion web client.

1. On the Machine Connect home page, click Create machine profile.

   The Create machine profile page displays.

2. Specify the machine details:

   • Image: Select and upload an image of the machine.
   • Name: Enter a unique name to identify the associated CNC machine on your shop floor.
   • ID: Enter a unique identifier for the machine profile.
   • Description: Enter a description or important details about the machine.
   • Location: Enter the location of the associated CNC machine on the shop floor.

3. Click Create.

   The Connect machine page displays.

4. Optional: If you created a Gateway already, continue to connect the machine profile to the shop floor.

5. If you haven't created a Gateway yet, click Skip for now.

If you clicked Skip for now, the machine profile displays in the browser with the details that you specified.

Tips

• For the machine ID, specify an identifier that is associated with a specific CNC machine. For example, a CNC machine's serial number.
