Machine timeline view
The Machine timeline view provides a chronological visualization of machine activities and status changes over time. This dashboard shows when machines transition between different operational states, helps you understand usage patterns and identify workflow inefficiencies.
Use the Machine timeline view to:
- Track machine status changes throughout the day or selected time period.
- Identify patterns in machine usage and downtime.
- Analyze the sequence of operational states for individual machines.
- Understand how machines transition between running, idle, stopped, and offline states.
- Export timeline data for detailed analysis and reporting.
Timeline visualization
The Timeline section displays a chronological view of machine activities with horizontal bars representing each machine's status over time:
- Running (green): Machine actively running a program
- Idle (orange): Machine connected but not currently running
- Stopped (red): Machine that has stopped operation
- Not connected (grey): Machine that is offline or disconnected
Each machine appears as a separate row in the timeline, with color-coded segments for each status duration. The timeline scrolls horizontally to show how the machine statuses change over the selected time period.
Machine selection
View timeline data for:
- All machines: See all connected machines in a single timeline view
- Individual machines: Focus on specific machines to analyze their activity patterns
- Multiple machines: Compare activity across selected machines side-by-side
Timeline features
The timeline view includes these interactive features:
- Zoom: Adjust the time scale to view shorter or longer periods in detail
- Scroll: Navigate through the timeline to examine different time segments
- Tooltips: Hover over timeline segments to see exact start times, end times, and duration for each status period
Export functionality
Export machine timeline data directly from the dashboard:
- Generate CSV reports with detailed timeline information
- Select specific machines or all machines for export
- Include start times, end times, durations, and status information
- Use exported data for further analysis in spreadsheet applications
