Machine Profiles
A Machine Profile in Fusion Machine Connect represents a physical machine on the shop floor. Once you connect a machine profile to its corresponding machine, you can view the machine's live status, collect data, and transfer files to compatible machines.
Fusion Machine Connect
Fusion Machine Connect requires a separate license and can be used with Fusion or independently. Learn about Fusion Machine Connect licenses.
To connect to a machine on the shop floor, a Machine profile requires:
- An active License assigned to the Machine Profile.
- A connection to an established Gateway that can communicate between Fusion Machine Connect in the Fusion web client.
- A physical CNC machine on the shop floor that is connected to the Gateway.

- Running: The machine controller is actively running a program or is executing instructions.
- Stopped: The machine controller's program has been stopped in an unplanned manner and action is required to resume the program.
- No live status: The Gateway and machine are both connected and the status is unknown. Note: This status is shown for machines that are set up for File Transfer and not set up for Data Collection.
