Activity 2: Configure an item numbering scheme

Fusion Manage Extension

This feature is part of an extension. Extensions are a flexible way to access additional capabilities in Fusion. Learn more.

In this activity, you’ll configure several item numbering schemes for components and drawings.

Note: Once an item numbering scheme is created, you cannot modify or delete it. You can only deactivate it. For this reason, you should make sure the parameters and settings are correct before you finish adding the scheme. In this activity, you will create item numbering schemes that your team will use to complete their tutorials.
Important: It is assumed that you are performing this activity in your production environment. Therefore, we recommend that you read through the relevant help pages and steps so that you know what the result will be before modifying anything.

      • Active: Makes the scheme available when generating item numbers. Click to make this scheme active.

Note: Since schemes cannot be edited or deleted, you can deactivate them to hide them from your team.
