Define a injection location for an injection molding simulation study
To add a new injection location
On the Setup tab, click Boundary Conditions > Injection Locations
.
The Injection Locations dialog opens.
On the canvas, select an injection location on the part.
Note: Place the injection point at a location on the part which minimizes the distance the polymer must flow. Ideally, inject into a thicker section, and aim for balanced filling. For larger parts, you may add multiple locations. Avoid faces that should be free from blemishes. Faces you have identified as aesthetic faces are highlighted to help you avoid them.In the Injection Locations dialog, click
to add a new injection point or click

Optionally, click the eye icon next to the injection location to turn its visibility on or off.
Click OK.

to open the Edit Injection Locations dialog.
Alternatively, you can double-click the injection location on the canvas.
