Display the center of mass

To access this command from the Simulation Setup tab, click Results to open the Results tab. From the Inspect panel drop-down menu, click Center of Mass.

Prerequisites

• You have run a simulation study that offers the center of mass command.
• The results were generated in July 2023 or later. Results from studies run before July 2023 will need to be regenerated.

Steps

1. From the Inspect panel drop-down menu, click Center of Mass to open the Center of Mass dialog.

2. In the canvas, select all the bodies you want to include in the center of mass calculation.

   Note: In addition to the values displayed in the dialog, a glyph shows the displaced center of mass on the model.

3. Click Copy to clipboard if you want to paste the values into another application.

4. Click Close to exit the dialog.
