Create a point at the intersection of three planes
Learn how to use the Point Through Three Planes tool to create a construction point at the intersection or extended intersection of three non-parallel planes or faces in Fusion.
On the toolbar, select Construct > Point Through Three Planes
.
The Point Through Three Planes dialog displays.
In the canvas, select the first plane or face.
Select the second plane or face.
Select the third plane or face.
Click OK.
The new construction point displays in the canvas, at the intersection or extended intersection of the three planes or faces you selected.
Tips
- You can only create one construction point at a time.
- Create construction points when you want to reference a point that does not exist.
- The three planes or faces you select cannot be parallel to each other.
- Use a Point Through Three Planes when you want to create a construction point at the intersection or extended intersection of three planes or faces.
