Add an SVG image

Use Insert SVG to place a scalable vector image on a face in Fusion.

The Insert SVG tool, imports an SVG file into the active sketch. Use SVG* files for detailed sketches such as logos, text, or PCB silkscreens.

  1. In the Design workspace, select Insert > Insert SVG insert svg icon.

    The Insert dialog displays.

  2. Navigate to and select an image to insert, then click Insert.

    The Insert SVG dialog displays.

  3. In the canvas, select a planar face to place the sketch.

A sketch is created and the image geometry is centered on the sketch origin.

  4. Use the manipulators or enter values in the Insert SVG dialog to specify the parameters relative to the image origin.

    • X Distance: Positive values move geometry to the right of the origin, negative to the left.
    • Y Distance: Positive values move geometry below the origin, negative above the origin.
    • Z Angle: Rotates the image geometry around the origin point. Positive values are clockwise, negative are counter-clockwise.
    • Horizontal Flip: mirrors geometry using the Y axis.
    • Vertical Flip: mirrors geometry using the X axis.
    • Scale: use the manipulator or enter a value to change the scale.
    • Control Point Frame: for use with splines, provides access to the control point frame for modifying the shape.
  5. Click OK to place the geometry.

The sketch with the SVG displays in the canvas.

Tips

  • Use sketch tools to add or modify geometry as needed.
