Emboss reference

The Emboss tool raises or recesses a sketch profile relative to faces on a solid body by a specified depth and direction in Fusion.

Design > Solid > Create > Emboss emboss icon

Sketch Profiles

Select sketch profiles to emboss on a solid body.

Faces

Select faces on a solid body to emboss.

Tangent Chain

Check to automatically select tangentially connected geometry.

Effect

  • Emboss effect - emboss icon: Add material to selected faces on the body.
  • Deboss effect - deboss icon: Remove material from selected faces on the body.

Flip Normal

Flips the normal side of selected sketch profiles to emboss.

Depth

Use the depth manipulator in the canvas to adjust the depth of the emboss feature, or enter an exact value.

  • Positive values create an Emboss effect.
  • Negative values create a Deboss effect.

Alignment

Once sketch profiles and faces are selected, you can adjust the Horizontal Distance, Vertical Distance, and Rotation Angle settings to align the emboss feature.

Horizontal Distance

Use the distance manipulator in the canvas to adjust the distance to move the emboss feature in the horizontal direction, or enter an exact value.

Vertical Distance

Use the distance manipulator in the canvas to adjust the distance to move the emboss feature in the vertical direction, or enter an exact value.

Rotation Angle

Use the angle manipulator in the canvas to adjust the angle to rotate the emboss feature, or enter an exact value.
