Silhouette Split reference

Silhouette Split lets you split a selected body at the silhouette outline looking from the view direction.

Design > Solid > Modify > Silhouette Split

View Direction

Sets the direction you look at the design to determine the silhouette.

Target Body

Select the body to modify.

Operation

Select the affect the split has on the body.

• Split Faces Only Splits the faces of the selected body but keeps it as a single body.
• Split Shelled Body Splits the selected body into two bodies. The body must be shelled first.
• Split Solid Body Splits the selected body at the parting line. The parting line must be planar.

Tips

The Parting Line Split tool works best on shelled bodies.
