Undercut machining for grooves

You can machine undercuts, commonly in the form of grooves, using the Profile Roughing strategy. After selecting a non-grooving tool, a Machine Undercuts option appears in the Passes tab to let you machine undercuts.

Insert & Holder Clearance

When machining undercuts, you can specify a clearance between the back of the holder or the back of the insert and the model. This clearance is useful to help avoid collisions.
