Learn how to use the Midpoint tool to constrain a point or object to the midpoint of another object in a sketch in Fusion.

In the Fusion Design workspace, you can use the following constraints to constrain 3D Sketch geometry to other sketch, solid, or surface geometry: Horizontal/Vertical Coincident Tangent Equal Parallel Perpendicular Fix/Unfix Midpoint Concentric Colinear

Fix/UnFix The Fix/UnFix tool locks the size and location of a point or object. Midpoint The Midpoint tool constrains a point or object to the midpoint of another object.

Circumscribed Polygon The Circumscribed Polygon tool creates a polygon defined by the center point and the midpoint of one edge. You click to place the center point of the polygon, specify the number of sides, then click to place the midpoint of an edge.

Create a circle centered at the midpoint of the horizontal line. A triangle glyph indicates that your circle is locked to the midpoint .

Mouse over the midpoints of the rectangle's sides and sketch the line.

Weld Mode Vertex to Vertex: the first vertex is moved to the position of the second vertex. Vertex to Midpoint : The two vertices are moved to the midpoint between the selections.

These are called Object Snap points, and they help you specify a precise point on the object (like an endpoint, a midpoint , or a center point). Reposition Leader Notes.

Joins the first vertex to the second. Vertex To Midpoint . Joins the two vertices at the midpoint .

By default, the bend note is located at the midpoint of the bend center line and is parallel with the bend center line it's associated to.

Slowly move your cursor up the model until you see the blue triangle marking the midpoint of the line, and click on it.

Create a Circumscribed Polygon Create a polygon by placing the center point and specifying the radius of a circle to circumscribe the polygon around. The midpoint of each polygon edge lies on the circle.

Concentric Constrains two or more arcs, circles, or ellipses to the same center point. MidPoint Constrains a point or object to the midpoint of another object.

Symmetric: Creates a flange of a specific width centered on the mid-point of the selected edge. Distance: Specify the overall distance of the flange, centered on the edge.
