Configuration preferences reference

The Preferences dialog contains several settings that affect configurations in Fusion.

Access

In the top-right corner of Fusion, click your Avatar, then select Preferences.

The configurations preferences are located in the Design > Configurations section.

Export Configured Components As

Sets the default export option for configured components in assemblies to one of the following:

• Configured Designs (default): Includes the configuration table and the ability to switch a configured component to any of its sibling configurations in the exported design.
• Standard Designs: Includes only a standard design of the specific configuration inserted into the assembly.

When you export a Configurable Assembly, this option is automatically set to Configured Designs so that all the configuration relationships and intelligence are preserved in the export.

Display Configured Components in Browser

Determines which information to display in the Browser for all configured components.

Select up to 3 options from the lists, in the order you want them to appear:

• Configured Design Name
• Configuration Name
• Part Number
• None

Once you select an option, it is no longer available to select in the remaining lists.

The default display is: Configuration Name : None : None
