Adjust Automation Settings
Learn how to control the Drawing Automation settings in the Drawing workspace in Fusion.
Control the Drawing Automation Settings
In the drawing workspace, with a drawing template or a new drawing open:
In the Browser, hover over the Document Settings node, then click the icon Change Document Settings next to it.
The Document Settings dialog displays.
In the Document Settings dialog, click the Automation Settings tab.
Choose the desired options.
Click OK to save the settings or click Push To Template to save the settings to any existing template.
To accept the default settings, click Cancel to close the dialog.
Optional: In the Document Settings dialog, click the View Defaults tab to view or change the defaults.
Optional: Choose the desired options.
To accept the default settings and close the dialog, click Cancel.
Control for which components a sheet will not be created
In the drawing workspace, with a drawing template or a new drawing open:
In the Browser, hover over the Document Settings node, then click the icon Change Document Settings next to it.
The Document Settings dialog displays.
In the Document Settings dialog, click the Automation Settings tab.
Into the Omit Components with Components Name Keywords text field, type any components for which you don’t want a sheet to be created.
Click OK.
Detect and Omit Fasteners
In the drawing workspace, with a drawing template or a new drawing open:
In the Browser, hover over the Document Settings node, then click the icon Change Document Settings next to it.
The Document Settings dialog displays.
In the Document Settings dialog, click the Automation Settings tab.
Select the Detect and Omit Fasteners checkbox to omit the Fasteners during the automatic drawing creation process.
Click OK.
