Edit tolerance (Drawing workspace)
Use the Tolerance section in the Dimension dialog to add or change tolerances for individual dimensions.
In the canvas, double-click a dimension.
The Dimension dialog displays.
In the Dimension dialog, expand the Tolerance section, and select the checkbox to enable the settings.
For the Type, select one of the following:
Symmetrical
Deviation
Limit
Fit
For Symmetrical, select or type a Tolerance value.
For Deviation or Limit, select or type Upper Tolerance and Lower Tolerance values.
For Fit:
- Select Hole or Shaft.
- Select the fit Type.
- Select the Preferred Fit class, or choose Custom.
- View the Limits, or choose different limit sizes to create a custom fit.
- Select the Show Fit display style.
- Select the Show Tolerance display style.
Click Close.
Tip: Use the Match Dimension tool to copy the modified tolerance between dimensions; the tolerance will update based on the geometry and the preferred fit.
