Critical overhang angle

The critical angle for which an object can be 3D printed without requiring supports.

Refers to the print direction of an outcome. When an overhang angle exceeds a critical overhang (for example, 30 degrees away from the vertical axis), the structure is no longer self-supporting and support material needs to be added for three-dimensional printing.
