Slots in sketches
The slot tools in the Sketch > Create panel let you create different types of slots as sketch geometry or construction geometry in an active sketch in Fusion.
You can use the following tools to create slots in an active sketch:
- Center to Center Slot
- Overall Slot
- Center Point Slot
- 3 Point Arc Slot
- Center Point Arc Slot
to create a new sketch or right-click an existing sketch and select Edit Sketch to enter the Sketch contextual environment.Center to Center Slot
The Center to Center Slot tool creates a linear slot defined by the placement and distance of slot arc centers, and by the width of the slot.
You click to place the center of each slot arcs, then click to define the slot width or specify the diameter of the slot arcs.
Overall Slot
The Overall Slot tool creates a linear slot defined by orientation, length, and width.
You click to place the start point and end point of the slot centerline, then click to define the slot width or specify the diameter of the slot arcs.
Center to Point Slot
The Center to Point Slot tool creates a linear slot defined by a center point, location of slot arc centers, and by slot width.
You click to place the slot center, place the center of the slot arc, then click to define the slot width or specify the diameter of the slot arcs.
3 Point Arc Slot
The 3 Point Arc Slot tool creates an arc slot defined by a 3 point center arc and slot width.
You click to place the start point and end point of the slot center arc, place the third point of the center arc or specify the center arc radius, then click to define the slot width or specify the diameter or radius of the slot arcs.
Center Point Arc Slot
The Center Point Arc Slot tool creates an arc slot defined by a center point, 2 point center arc, and slot width.
You click to place the center point of the slot, place the start point and end point of the slot center arc, then click to define the slot width or specify the diameter or radius of the slot arc.
