PowerInspect provides two methods for determining the direction of probe compensation:
- Automatic probe compensation calculates the direction of compensation from the orientation of the probe when the first point is taken. This method is used by default.
- Pre-touch point probe compensation calculates the direction of compensation by taking a fresh-air point before taking the first measurement point.
