Project Templates

This document talks about using project templates in GBS.

Green Building Studio enables you to create a template of settings that can be easily shared by all project team members and quickly applied to any of your projects. The template settings cover all of the major building characteristics that will impact energy modeling: internal loads; space types; design temperatures; envelope constructions; and HVAC equipment. See What is a Project Template versus a Project Default and for a comprehensive list of the characteristics you can modify.

Note: You must resubmit your gbXML files to the Green Building Studio web service for your assigned Project Templates and revised Project Defaults to take effect. You can verify if a template has been assigned to your project by viewing the Energy & Results tab. The template name is displayed in the General Information section, below the Run Title. If a template name is not displayed then a template has not been applied to the run. This feature was enabled with Green Building Studio release Version 3.4. For runs submitted prior to this release, the template names do not appear on the results pages.
