The Project option allows you to align a natural edge to the interior of a surface. How the CVs are moved is specified by the vector you select. A curve-on-surface is created on the master surface along the aligned edge.
In this example, the CVs on the wheel arch surface have moved in the Y direction, to meet and align with the surface.
