Exercise 1: Create the Model

Create a new model from the Start page.

1. Close any open model to see the Start page.
2. Click New.
3. In the New Model dialog box, enter a location and name for the model.
4. Add a description, if required.
5. To limit the size of the model, select Define Model Extent and either enter the extents manually or load an extents file.
6. Click OK to create the model and display the Data Sources panel.
